THE INSTITUTE FOR THE PHILOSOPHY OF BUSINESS,
ENTREPRENEURSHIP, AND MEDIA
Mission Statement of the Institute : We are a non-partisan, educational, non-profit organization dedicated to achieving excellence in teaching and research in the Philosophy of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Media. The Institute seeks to foster and cultivate an intellectual environment for dialogue, discussion and lively debate between Professors, Students, and members of the South Florida community and beyond, who are interested in the highly inter-disciplinary approach combining Business, Philosophy, Economics, Media, and Culture. We sponsor workshops, conferences, speakers, courses, and seminars, along with on-line resources to educate the community on the values of Entrepreneurship and Business in society today. The Institute’s projects will be of special interest to those professionals who specialize in the areas of Philosophy, Economics, Political Science, Journalism and Media, and the Law. We strive to teach and promote core values and ethical principles that enable Business Enterprises, and their leaders, employees, and customers, to flourish in a free-enterprise, laissez-faire economy. As an inter-disciplinary Institute, our academic scholarship focuses on the Philosophical, Cultural, Social, Economic, and Political foundations, pre-conditions and implications of successful Business practices and institutions, throughout the United States and the global economy. One of our goals is to develop and teach interdisciplinary and innovative courses, which may be offered through South Florida colleges & universities at their Business School, the School of Communications, and the School of Law. We also bring guest speakers to campus, and offer a series of conferences, seminars, and workshops in the areas of our research. For more information, please contact Dr. Ruben Rabinsky, the President and Director of the Institute.
